Recently the NFL organized a groud of coaches to visit overseas U.S. military troops. The NFL USO Coaches Tour included three current and two former NFL coaches -- New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin, Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, retired Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher and former Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden.
They will meet as many troops as possible and thank them for their service. The tour started from Washington, D.C. where the group boarded flight. They flied 13 hours to Kuwait City and then got a ride from the commercial airport to a U.S. military base in order to catch a military flight to Baghdad.
While waiting for the flight, the coaches met service members for the first time. Most of the coaches had interaction with their fans. Two Giants fans ran to meet Tom Coughlin; a Steelers fan caught the chance to have a photo with Bill Cowher; some servicemen had a chat with Jeff Fisher; and the fromer Eagles defensive backs coach John Harbaugh had a conversation with a couple of Eagles fans. Only CW4 John Case (originally from Texas did not talk with Coughlin because he is a big Cowboy fan.
Then the coaches boarded two small C-12 military airplanes and flied to Baghdad. They arrived around midnight local time.
