The Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall has always said that he wants to leave Denver. A lot of people have guessed that the reason could be demand of new contract or a fresh start in a new team. Few people would relate it to the death of his teammate, Darrent Williams.
Some people always consider that Marshall could not get along well with Broncos Coach Josh McDaniels, but the two seem to be able to coexist most of the time. Few people heard Marshall said: "I hate Denver. I hope I get traded. I hate this f—ing city. Why aren’t you guys out looking for Williams’ killer?" He has been feeling much more grief and even guilt because he was with Williams shortly before he was killed in a driveby shooting.
Indeed, the Jan. 1, 2007 murder could be a major impetus for the Pro Bowl wide receiver to leave Denver, where he has spent all of his four NFL seasons. He has caught 100 passes for three consecutive seasons wearing Broncos jerseys, but memory of the former teammate could keep affecting his mindset. Perhaps he could only be relieved in a new place of different scenery.
