It will be uneasy for Porter to leave Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter wants a trade to get out of the team, but I doubt which team would like to trade for him, considering his attitude to team officials and coaching staff plus his large contract.

"I don’t get paid like a rotation guy," Porter said in an interview during ESPN’s Jim Rome Show. "So I’m not ready to take that role. I’m still a starter. I can honestly say I won’t come back to do that. Why keep a guy there that you want to make a role player?"

Perhaps he has no reason to like the team, but team may also have few reasons to like him. According to reports by ProFootballTalk.com, the Dolphins may take action earlier than Porter himself. The team coaching staff has apparently soured on Porter’s attitude and refusal to leave the field when he is told.

So it is very likely that Porter is to take off his Dolphins jersey because of being released rather than being traded. And the new team will have to pay the remaining half of his five-year, $32 million deal if they are willing to take the risk of signing the linebacker.
