On Wednesday, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck took full part in the team’s practice, in an effort to accelerate his return from a broken rib. But it is still questionable if he would be able to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday.
It was 17 days after Hasselbeck was hit high in the back by the San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis on a dive for the goal line, and Hasselbeck was trying show that he could do everything possible to get out on the football field without question, although he still has to wear bulky rib pads throughout the practice.
It also showed that the Seahawks, who have lost three consecutive games, was desperate to save its season. They expect Hasselbeck to return as soon as possible and might be glad to see the quarterback be able to practice as Coach Jim Mora has set a goal of winning these two remaining games before the bye.

Goodell did well at start of Rainier climb
The 50-year-old NFL commissioner Roger Goodell joined the climb tour together with the Seahawks coach Jim Mora and Seahawks chief executive Tod Leiweke. They have been good so far and successfully completed a first day of mountaineering training on Monday.
“Gotta say the commish performed. He is a good listener and grasped mountaineering basics reasonably well,” Guide Peter Whittaker told The Associated Press in an e-mail. No one took any nfl jerseys with them, even one piece of green bay packers jersey.
They planned to reach Camp Muir, at 10,080 feet Tuesday and rest there before starting to summit Mount Rainier--the 14,411-foot volcano is Washington’s highest peak--on Wednesday morning. It was said that only half of the climbers who attempt to scale the mountain each year was able to reach the top.

Seahawks coordinator Knapp is confident in the team's backfield
There are no more guys fantasy leaguers could lean on for production such as RBs Curt Warner, Ricky Watters and Shaun Alexander in the Seahawks, but there are Julius Jones, T.J. Duckett and Justin Forsett.
New coordinator Gregg Knapp is installing a more run-heavy offense than the team saw under former coach Mike Holmgren. The offense features the trio of Jones, Duckett and Forsett.
“I definitely prefer [using a rotation of backs],” Knapp told the team’s official website. “I think it’s important, because the game has gotten so physical. The defense has gotten so strong and so fast, it’s hard for one back to carry the load.
“So I’m a big believer in having two, if not three, backs involved as the season goes on.”
New coach Jim Mora is also satisfied with his backfield, even though there is no famous player. He said that with a healthy Matt Hasselbeck and his ability to stretch the field, the team will be able to run the ball.
