After practicing with the team for the first time on Wednesday since the knee surgery in spring, the Indianapolis safety Bob Sanders travelled with the team to the Tennessee but was still deactivated for Sunday night’s game against the Titans.
Because of the surgery, Sanders has not played in a game all season. And when he wore back Colts jersey and practiced last Wednesday and Thursday, a lot of had guessed he may be able to play Sunday’s game at Tennessee. And since he was sidelined Sunday night, the safety will have two more weeks to prepare for his first playing of the season as the Colts have their bye next week.
Other deactivated Colts players included cornerbacks Kelvin Hayden and Marlin Jackson and left tackle Charlie Johnson. Jacob Lacey started in Hayden’s spot and Tony Ugoh made his first start this season in replacement of Johnson.
