The Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton did not finish Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins and had to witness his team’s 27-17 loss to Redskins on the sideline.
What is even worse, he may have to stay out of field for next week’s game and his left ankle was heavily taped. He tried to continue to play Sunday’s game but eventually could only tell Coach Josh McDaniels that he would not be able to play.
“I was hoping to come back out, and I just wasn’t able to,” said Orton, who was 11 for 18 for 193 yards and two long touchdown passes to Brandon Marshall.
He also said it was still early to say whether he would be able to wear back his Broncos jersey and play next week’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
