Browns RB Lewis thought the team was beaten down by Coach Mangini

The Cleveland Browns are struggling with another frustratingly losing season because of Coach Eric Mangini, according the Browns running back Jamal Lewis. He thought the coach has been overworking the team.

“Hey, this is his show, it’s not mine,” Lewis said. “It’s his show, it’s not my show. Not anybody else around here’s show. We’re just the crop. You’ve got to take care of your crop. If you don’t take care of your crop, when it comes time to harvest, you’re not going to make no money because the crop ain’t no good.”

The veteran running back has intention to take off NFL jersey and retire after this season. Before leaving, he just wants to say something or try to give advice to the rookie coach. As one of Cleveland’s six captains, he thinks that Mangini’s rugged, lengthy practices of up to three hours have hurt the Browns effectiveness in playing real games. It sounds like to climb out of blame for possible loss by making such comment three days before he will start against the Baltimore Ravens, but at least he represents most Browns players, who are still far from in fond of the first-year coach.
