Hall of Fame quarterback’ Joe Namath should have learned how to control his dogs, who have caused him to be sued by a former UPS driver for being attacked by the bogs while making a delivery at the former NFL quarterback’s Florida home.
Attorneys for David Gunter say he hasn’t been able to work since the 2007 incident in Tequesta, about 90 miles north of Miami. Lawyer Steven Slootsky says Gunter required four surgeries after suffering injuries to his neck, back and knee. And he is not the only one to have problems with Namath’s dogs. Because of complaints, one of the dogs was ordered last month to be muzzled and leashed full-time.
Namath played in the AFL and NFL during the 1960s and 1970s and was an American Football League icon. For most of his professional career he was playing for the New York Jets but he put on the Los Angeles Rams jersey in the last year of his career. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1985.
