The Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard surely would like to receive a win as the best birthday gift. He had it on Nov. 8, his 24th birthday, by leading the Magic to a 97-86 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, also the team’s sixth straight victory.
Howard contributed 25 points and 11 rebounds to the victory. The second largest contribution was made by Jason Williams wearing #44 Magic jersey, who scored 16 points while hitting four 3-pointers for the Magic. Not the Magic is in pace with the Boston Celtics atop the Eastern Conference with their 11th victory in 12 games. The win also marks a new franchise record of winning 8 consecutive road games for a single season.
As for the losing team the Clippers, who won five of seven games before Tuesday, they had to face the sixth loss to Magic. Eric Gordon scored 21 points and Baron Davis had 18 and 11 assists, but they did not managed to save the team.
