With 12 of his 13 seasons being spent with the Miami Dolphins, linebacker Jason Taylor, at the age of 35, thinks he has not been too old to play pro football in NFL jersey and he especially hopes to continue his NFL career in Dolphins jersey. However, it seems that the Dolphins think differently.
“They’re looking for replacements right now,” Taylor said at an event for his foundation Friday, referring the fact that the Dolphins are in the market for an upgrade at linebacker. “If they don’t find who they want and if teams don’t find who they want, then that’s when your phone starts ringing.”
The six-time Pro Bowler had seven sacks, an interception and forced three fumbles this season, his 12th season with the Dolphins or the first since returning from the Washington, where he spent 2008 season with the Redskins after being exiled by the Dolphins. It was actually not a satisfying performance, but Taylor just believes that he can still play.
