Dolphins LB Roth returned to sideline with ankle injury

The Miami Dolphins linebacker Matt Roth has been ruled out for playing Sunday against the unbeaten New Orleans Saints with a left ankle injury. It is a return to sideline because he sat out all of training camp and Miami’s first five games because of a groin injury.

“It’s just a little bump in the road,” said Roth, who hopes to miss only a day or two of practice. “It’s a little setback,” Coach Tony Sparano confirmed, “but just a little one.”

Roth hurt himself practicing Wednesday, and it is for the first time he got an injury during season. Although the latest injury is said to be not serious, it was just serious enough to keep Roth out of the team’s Thursday practice.
